Iris louisiana 'Ann Chowning'
An amazingly beautiful Iris, with velvet looking dark red cherry coloured petals, with a hint of yellow emerging from the centre of the flower.  It received the Mary Swords Debaillon Award, the highest given to a Louisiana Iris.  A little taller than the ensata and laevigata varieties of Iris.
