Collection: Deep Water

Deep Water plants as the name suggests like to have their pots on the bottom of the pond.  They help to keep the water clear by providing shade, which pond wildlife also find welcoming.  They are much more tolerant of shade than water lilies and do not mind moving water.

Plants such as the Water Hawthorn are truly beautiful and will flower early in the spring and then again in the autumn.   In mild winters it will continue to flower throughout, providing welcome interest when other plants have died back.  Brandy Bottle is a popular native plant that has bright yellow flowers and attracts pollinating insects.  Both Fringed Water Lilies and Water Hawthorn are suitable for container ponds.
