Regular price £50.00
Taxes included.

Normally Available From: 2ltr - October to February

Add a touch of winter magic to your pondside planting with the Helleborus Winter Ballet® Collection. These hardy, evergreen perennials flower when little else does, lighting up the garden from October right through to early spring. Perfect for planting in soil around the edges of ponds, where their glossy foliage and elegant blooms bring colour, texture and structure to dormant spaces.

With their large, upright flowers in shades of white, pink, red and creamy yellow, these hellebores look stunning tucked into shady borders, gravel paths, or containers near your pond. They’re low-maintenance, UK hardy and offer reliable winter-long interest, ideal for lifting dull corners or pairing with grasses and evergreens.

Choose from 4 stunning varieties or a mixed pack – each sold as a pack of 3 x 2 litre pots:

- Katie - Pretty light pink blooms flushed with white from October onwards. One of the earliest to flower and perfect for brightening up wintery spaces - available from October.

- Honey - Soft creamy-yellow blooms with a golden glow, flowering from November. Warm and subtle tones that pair beautifully with ornamental grasses - available from November.

- Karli - Bold red-pink flowers for real winter drama, starting in November and lasting well into spring. A great choice for standout colour near the pond - available from November.

- Leila - Gorgeous creamy pink petals edged in deep rose, with veining that deepens toward the centre. Blooms from early December, adding richness to winter scenes - available from November.

- Mixed Pack - A surprise selection of three different varieties from above, hand-picked by our growers for variety and colour.

How to Grow
  • Growing Instructions: Plant in moist, well-drained soil in partial to full shade, ideal for borders or containers positioned near the pond. Space plants approximately 3–5 per square metre for 2ltr pots to allow good airflow and healthy growth. These hellebores are long-lived and will settle in best when planted where they can spread slowly over time.
  • Growing Tips: Mix in organic matter or leaf mould when planting to enrich the soil. Apply a mulch of compost or bark in autumn or early spring to retain moisture and keep weeds down. Avoid burying the crown, keep it just above soil level to reduce the risk of rot. These are low-maintenance plants but benefit from a tidy-up after flowering.
Care & Maintenance
  • Pruning: Remove faded flowers and old leaves in late winter or early spring to tidy the plant and reduce the risk of disease. This also encourages new foliage and flower growth the following season.
  • Pests/Diseases: Generally trouble-free. Watch for aphids, vine weevils, and black spot on older leaves. Frogs and toads often found near ponds help manage pests like slugs naturally. Keeping the area clean and spacing plants well will help reduce fungal problems.

No. Live plants require draining and careful preparation.  The nurseries dispatch in scheduled batches rather than on-demand. This means same-day dispatch isn’t possible, but we always aim to send your order as promptly as we can within our dispatch schedule.

If you’d like to check when your order is likely to arrive, just email us and we’ll be happy to advise.

Royal Mail parcels usually arrive within 24–48 hours.

Please do not delay delivery of live plants.
